We are seeking a number of experienced Carers with a Certificate III in Aged Care to undertake the role of a Carer at our Griffith Village.
The role entails providing care to residents as a member of the care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide person centred care which includes
* Empowering our residents to ensure their choices and preferences are met
* Assisting residents with their daily care needs
* Assisting residents to participate in activities
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and procedures
The successful applicant will possess:
* Caring, patient and enjoy making a positive impact to our residents' everyday lives.
* Minimum 1 year of experience.
* Flexibility to work night shifts if required.
* Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
* Demonstrated experience in an aged care or community health setting and an understanding of issues relating to dementia care
* Demonstrated knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care
* Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships
* Confidence working in a flexible team environment
* Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
* Intermediate computer literacy
* Able to speak other languages is desirable but not required
