Job Overview
The Hospital Pharmacy Northwest team offers high-level pharmacy services to the Regional Hospital and Community Hospital. Pharmacists collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver patient-centered care.
The Resident Training Program is a 2-year structured workplace training program for pharmacists to develop their practice. The training program supports clinical pharmacy, operational, and self-development skills in a supportive environment.
Pharmacists will provide clinical pharmacy services, dispense medications, offer medicines information, and contribute to staff knowledge of medication-related issues.
This role requires registered pharmacists or eligible pre-registration pharmacists with tertiary qualification or an approved overseas qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical pharmacy services, including best possible medication history taking and development of medication management plans
* Dispense medications according to legal requirements and access schemes
* Offer verbal and written medicines information to patients and staff
