About Shine
Shine People Solutions is a proudly Aboriginal‐owned and operated consultancy committed to connecting exceptional talent with purpose‐driven organisations. We work with clients who are serious about creating inclusive, culturally safe workplaces and driving real change for First Nations communities.
About Our Client
Our client is a 100% Indigenous‐led, community‐owned organisation representing Western Arrernte people, with over 40 years of service across five Aboriginal Land Trusts from Jay Creek to Kings Canyon. They take care of municipal service needs for local outstations and continue to deliver a wide range of programmes and services to the community and surrounding outstations.
They operate multiple programmes including employment services (RAES), ranger programmes, and social enterprise activities, all grounded in community priorities and led by local decision‐making.
About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator will lead the centralised logistics function, supporting multiple programmes with procurement, inventory, warehouse operations and continuous improvement.
This role exists to bring structure, systems and mentoring to a growing local logistics team. You'll be working alongside mostly Aboriginal community members, helping to build capability, confidence and clear processes in a remote context.
It's a hands‐on role with a strong focus on:
* Day‐to‐day warehouse and logistics coordination
* System and process development
* Coaching and supporting local staff
* Ensuring programmes have the equipment, materials and support they need
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily warehouse and logistics activities across various programmes
* Maintain inventory oversight and support procurement needs across the organisation
* Develop and refine practical systems, workflows and procedures suited to remote community operations
* Mentor and coach a small team of local Aboriginal staff, supporting skills development and confidence building
* Support on‐the‐job learning pathways for local employees and school leavers interested in logistics
* Work collaboratively across programmes to ensure they have the equipment and materials required
* Contribute to continuous improvement ideas that strengthen logistics capability
* Lead with cultural respect, emotional intelligence and an understanding of community obligations in a remote NT context
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who brings both technical logistics know‐how and culturally respectful leadership — someone calm, practical, community‐minded and confident working in a remote NT setting.
Ready to Apply?
If you're excited by the idea of leading a logistics function that directly supports Western Arrernte communities, and you're comfortable working in a remote NT community, we'd love to hear from you. Reach out to Fahren for a yarn.
