Join our Kieser Newcastle team as a Physiotherapist, a role dedicated to keeping our clients strong, active, pain-free, and healthy.
The Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy care to patients admitted to the short-stay hospital and perform clinical work on the ward and within the onsite Kieser clinic.
By combining traditional physiotherapy methods with education on the benefits of strength training, our team empowers clients to restore strength and confidence, enabling them to continue enjoying the things they love most.
Responsibilities include:
Provide clinical physiotherapy care on ward and within the on-site Kieser clinic
Successful transition from on-ward to outpatient physiotherapy care, ensuring a high-quality patient experience
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based peri-operative care to optimise patient recovery
High quality patient management for short stay discharge planning
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Exercise Physiologists and Exercise Scientists
Consult a diverse clientele, including musculoskeletal and sporting patient groups, with ongoing case management
Use objective measures, such as strength testing, to guide clinical decisions
Educate clients on long-term strength training benefits and use traditional physiotherapy methods for positive outcomes
Access state-of-the-art rehab equipment and diagnostics
Build and maintain relationships with external referrers
Consistently deliver high-quality service in accordance with Kieser standards

Qualifications & Certifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree/Masters/PhD in Physiotherapy
Current AHPRA registration, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Active & current professional indemnity insurance, First Aid and CPR certification, Working with Children Check
Valid working rights in Australia
Advanced clinical physiotherapy skills and knowledge base
Demonstrated experience in hospital and healthcare industry
Demonstrated experience working in a peri-operative care model
Demonstrated ability to exhibit and promote Kieser values
Organisational and administrative skills
Post-graduate qualifications in relevant clinical area
2+ years relevant work experience
