A well-established and growing commercial construction business is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team based in Murarrie. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their accounting experience within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting function, while gaining exposure across the wider finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
* Accounts payable and receivable support
* Bank and account reconciliations
* Assisting with Payroll
* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
* Maintaining financial records and supporting audits
* Supporting the finance team with ad hoc duties
About You
* Experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
* Exposure to ERP systems
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Working towards or interested in completing your CPA (highly regarded)
