Cadet Civil Engineers are sought after to participate in a two-year development program that combines professional experience with tertiary studies.
About The Role
This entry-level position involves assisting engineering teams within the City Services Directorate and gaining practical experience in public infrastructure and civil works design and delivery. Rotations through different teams will provide exposure to various aspects of civil engineering, including traffic infrastructure, catchment and drainage, subdivision and development. Formal part-time study in civil engineering will be undertaken alongside work duties.
Your Skills and Qualifications
* Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver quality customer service.
* Civil Engineering Knowledge: Contemporary knowledge of civil engineering areas.
* Research and Analysis: Experience or understanding in undertaking research, analysis and presentation of information.
* Task Management: Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and continuously improve.
* Transportation: A current Class C driver's licence.
The ideal candidate is studying civil engineering and nearing completion of their degree qualification. They should have the ability to balance full-time employment with part-time university study.
Benefits
This Cadet position offers a temporary full-time role (two-year contract) with a salary range of $55,816.80 up to $58,494.80 per year plus 12% superannuation.
