This role offers a hybrid working model (2 days WFH) and the opportunity to work within a supportive and structured environment. The Role This position will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing within a complex organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will play a key role in maintaining payroll integrity while supporting continuous improvement across processes. Key Responsibilities Prepare and process end-to-end payroll across a large and complex workforce Ensure payroll is delivered accurately and in line with relevant legislation and awards Manage payroll queries and provide support to internal stakeholders Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within payroll systems Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and month-end processes Support process improvements and system enhancements where required About You Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a complex organisation Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders Experience within local government highly desirable, though not essential What’s on Offer 6-month contract with immediate start Hybrid working model (2 days WFH) Opportunity to work within a stable local council environment Supportive team and structured processes This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a detailed, high-volume environment and can hit the ground running.
