The Henchman is a high-volume cowboy Texas-inspired pub and grill venue located on the Gold Coast, Queensland. The business operates structured dinner services, weekend lunch services and large-scale private catering functions.
The venue delivers American-style pub cuisine within a cowboy-themed concept, with selected menu items incorporating Mexican flavour profiles. The kitchen operates in a fast-paced environment requiring consistent food quality, efficient service delivery and strict compliance with Australian food safety standards.
Due to continued business growth and operational demand, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Head Chef to plan, organise and actively participate in the preparation and cooking of food, while overseeing all back-of-house operations.
This is a hands-on senior culinary role. The Head Chef is responsible for planning, organising and participating in the preparation and cooking of food across all services, while ensuring operational efficiency, food quality standards and compliance with Australian food safety regulations.
The role requires active involvement during service periods, supervision of kitchen staff, monitoring of food preparation at all stages, and oversight of cost control and kitchen performance in a high-volume dining and catering environment.
Key Responsibilities

* Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

Design and develop menus aligned with the venue’s cowboy Texas concept and Mexican-influenced items.
