Job Description:
This is a permanent part-time role with leave coverage at Morwell Station and potential work at other stations along the Morwell line.
Your role will be primarily based at Morwell station.
About The Role
* You will be providing high-quality service to customers on V/Line services.
* Ensure safety on and around the rail.
* Sell Myki and V/Net tickets.
* Make platform announcements.
* Assist passengers.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the station and its facilities.
* Assist during planned and unplanned disruptions by coordinating bus replacements and supporting safe, on-time train departures.
Key Accountabilities:
* Gaining a Certificate 3 in Rail Customer Operations.
* Communicating accurate and timely information to customers about V/Line services and other forms of public transportation.
* Self-managing your time in-between services.
* Identifying and reporting safety hazards or incidents.
* Taking pride in and maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the station and its facilities.
* Ensuring safety on and around the station for customers, colleagues, and yourself.
About You
We are seeking self-motivated individuals who prioritise customer service and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A valid driver's license.
* A reliable vehicle.
* A successful completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
* An ability to work independently and proactively without supervision.
* An ability to adapt to changing environments.
* Previous extensive experience in a customer service and operational environment.
* Strong verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
* A strong safety culture and willingness to adhere to company values.
