We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officer's for permanent and fixed term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
School Background: Oberthur Primary School (PS), an Independent Public School, is located in a quiet area of Bull Creek, surrounded by trees, shade and well‐maintained gardens. The school population of 650 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 has a mix of cultural backgrounds, and English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) and a Chinese Immersion (bilingual) Program are offered in all Pre‐Primary to Year 6 classes.
Responsibilities
The School Officer provides high‐quality administrative and operational support within a dynamic and diverse school environment, with a strong emphasis on front office reception and customer service. The role is responsible for the accurate and confidential management of student enrolments, records, and databases, along with attendance processes and system updates.
The School Officer works closely with, and supports, the Manager Corporate Services in the delivery of financial and administrative functions, including the maintenance of financial records and processes. The role actively supports whole‐school operations, including events and organisational processes, and requires flexibility, initiative and commitment to effective teamwork in order to contribute to the smooth day‐to‐day running of the school.
Qualifications
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
* Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations and/or preparing financial returns.
* Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
* Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
* Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
