**The Position**
**What you will be doing**
**You will need the ability to**
- Pass a Category 1 Rail Pre-Employment Medical and alcohol and other drugs tests
- Drive Maintenance Service and Recovery vehicles
- Detect faults within components and strong inspection skills analysing suitability for reuse
- Operate power and pneumatic operated tools
- Perform daily service inspections and to take oil and cooling samples from locomotives
- Ensure full compliance with not only Watco policies but all safety requirements, state agencies and government regulations, including with regard to training, inspections and reporting
**What you will bring**
- A common-sense approach, motivated to achieve
- A valid drivers 'C' class and a heavy-duty license
- Willingness to undertake cross skilling in locomotive and wagon maintenance practices
- Effective communication in written, oral, diagrammatic and schedule formats
- A safety always mindset
- 5 years relevant experience as a minimum
