Occupational Therapist Role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives by facilitating independence and vocational capacity.
This full-time or part-time position will involve conducting assessments, supporting recovery and return to work, and delivering targeted intervention strategies. You will have the opportunity to understand various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes and work with diverse cultural groups.
About the Role
* Conduct occupational therapy assessments for individuals, including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional, ergonomic, and equipment evaluations
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support clients' recovery and return to work, prioritizing their best interests
* Develop and implement targeted intervention strategies to enhance independence, vocational capacity, and functional performance
* Stay up-to-date with various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes to ensure optimal service delivery
Requirements
* Full registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
* Qualification in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
* A strong passion for injury prevention and promoting independence in work and daily life
* Exceptional communication skills and reliability
* An inclusive attitude towards engaging with diverse cultural groups
