Brunel is partnering with this leading contractor to recruit a proactive and experienced Safety Advisor. This role focuses on projects in Northern NSW and the Southern Gold Coast, providing an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives, foster a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
* Develop and implement site‑specific safety plans, emergency response procedures, and hazard analyses.
* Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and toolbox talks to promote safe work practices.
* Investigate incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable safety legislation and company policies.
* Provide guidance and training to staff and subcontractors on safety protocols and best practices.
Requirements
* Strong background in construction safety.
* Construction building experience is a must.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and industry standards.
* Experience in developing and implementing safety management systems and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent; additional safety management qualifications highly regarded.
