About the role
Location: Lytton QLD
Type: Full-Time, Salaried Position
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Coordinator to oversee our quality assurance function at our Lytton Park facility. This vital role will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and ensure compliance with food safety standards while enhancing our commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and improve the company's food safety management system to provide a robust "due diligence" defence.
* Control and ensure maintenance of site certification, training, and hygiene standards.
* Support the QA Manager to develop and maintain a comprehensive HACCP System, including HACCP plans for all products.
* Implement technical requirements to ensure site compliance with internationally recognized food safety standards.
* Work collaboratively with production to control and respond to all customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
* Support QA Manager in collaboration with Operations to complete investigations into product failures, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Analyse laboratory results and implement corrective and preventative action procedures to meet company, legal, and customer requirements.
* Control and maintain finished product specifications to ensure quality standards are met.
* Support QA Manager with preparation and completion of the customer and 3rd Party audits.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
* Proven experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing sector.
* Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
