The Opportunity
Facilities / Maintenance Technician
(permanent)
In this role you will step into the team and play an integral role in servicing iconic fitness clubs including Goodlife Health Clubs, Fitness First, Zap Fitness and Barry's to ensure the facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard, providing both a safe and functional environment for both our members and team.
Key duties and responsibilities
Perform planned & reactive mechanical repairs and provide troubleshooting to gym equipment following club visit schedules to agreed service levels
Ensure all logged maintenance jobs are followed up and completed in a timely manner
Equipment removal and re-installation
Document and maintain maintenance records and hazard identification, reporting any incidents or near misses through WHS systems
Provide essential service audits, and work with suppliers with warranties and ordering spare parts
To be successful in this role you will
Be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding role
Have effective communication skills both written and verbal and natural ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and be comfortable working autonomously
Be confident managing and coordinating external contractors
Have a passion for the fitness industry and a willingness to learn
Skills / experience
Experience as a Facilities / Maintenance Technician
Experience maintaining and working from a maintenance log system such as ServiceNow or Jira
Australian driver's licence and clean driving record
Experience repairing gym equipment
