About the Opportunity Were looking for a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our Renal team at SWSLHD. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior role where youll make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families navigating the challenges of renal care. In this role, youll provide high-level psychosocial support, including assessments, counselling, and advocacy, all within a person-centred framework. Youll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure care is coordinated, culturally respectful, and tailored to each individuals needs. Your clinical expertise will guide complex decision-making, and your leadership will help shape service delivery through quality improvement projects, research, and mentoring of junior staff and students. Were looking for someone who brings both heart and skill to their worksomeone with deep knowledge of the psychosocial impacts of dialysis and transplantation, and the ability to support patients with empathy, resilience, and professionalism. What You'll be Doing This position is responsible for providing specialist Social Work service to consumers and their carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with SWSLHD policies and procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct. The position will also participate in professional development, clinical supervision, teaching, quality activities and other relevant departmental and administrative duties. A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
