We’re incredibly proud of our amazing people, and the unique way we celebrate Mexican culture in everything we do.Job DescriptionAs the Area Culinary Coach, you will play a pivotal in improving and maintaining the GYG food operational excellence standards within each of your defined restaurants. As Area Culinary Coach you will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen health and safety standards are complied with in all restaurants. You will work with and support the Restaurant Manager and Senior Cooks in the recruitment, training, and development of all kitchen Cooks, including Cook training across the 3 restaurants, to ensure alignment to GYG Recipes and Standards.Duties include working collaboratively with the Restaurant Group Manager, Restaurant Manager and Senior Cooks to deliver:Quality Food - Ensure food safety and food quality executed to 100% and is always the highest priority for Cooks and Leaders within each restaurant.People – Assist Restaurant Managers to hire and develop restaurant Cook teams, ensuring a full bench of Cooks is maintained and who live the GYG values – every day.Work & Health Safety - 100% compliance with GYG Food Safety & WH&S requirements at all times, including training and coaching Cook teamsContinual Improvement - Support the Restaurant Management teams to continually develop and improve their food excellence standards and alignment to the GYG recipes and processes.Our Restaurants are open 7 days a week and this role requires availability between the hours of 5am - 12am, specific days and shifts for the Area Culinary Coach will be discussed - this role is for 5 shifts per week, full-time.We appreciate that experience comes in many shapes and sizes, what we mean specifically is:Experience leading a team within a busy, hospitality environmentExperience in coaching and developing a team with passion!Experience in preparing and delivering food and operational excellence in a kitchen environmentExperience in training and leading kitchen teamsSkills Required For This RoleAn eye for detail - Food Operational ExcellenceStrong administration, organised and prioritisedGreat coach, team leader, and motivatorGreat trainerFood Safety understanding and qualificationFood Quality and COGs managementHealth and Safety understanding within the hospitality environmentExceptional communication skillsProblem-solving abilityStaff recruitment, onboarding and trainingAdaptable and Calm under pressureA Passion to deliver Quality Food and to lead People!!BenefitsThese are just some of the benefits that come with working at GYG:Exceptional company cultureLeadership developmentFree uniformFree and discounted mealsCareer growth opportunitiesWe’re incredibly proud of our amazing people and always have each other’s backs, we are passionate about living our values every single day - join the GyG team and be a part of this.At Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen, our mission has always been to reinvent fast-food.
