We're looking for a proactive Traffic Engineer to lead and manage traffic management across a major project. You'll handle everything from planning and sourcing materials for Traffic Control Plans to overseeing traffic operations, ensuring safety, quality, and community standards are met.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and organising the procurement of materials like signage and barriers to support traffic control plans.
* Managing and coordinating traffic management activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Vehicle Movement Plans (VMPs), including securing all necessary permits.
* Performing regular audits and inspections to spot and fix any issues with traffic control setups.
* Working closely with clients, traffic authorities, emergency services, and project teams to keep traffic running smoothly.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
* Significant experience in civil construction traffic management, preferably in a principal contractor environment.
* Formal qualifications relating to traffic management design, implementation and audit.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Current C-Class Driver's License.
