What You'll Do
In this newly established role, you'll join a friendly and dynamic Development team to secure funding from trusts, foundations and government and manage existing grants. Your role will be responsible for working in liaison with internal stakeholders and consultants to identify opportunities for grant funding and crafting effective applications. You will work with Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria plant scientists, horticulturalists, heritage building managers, learning teams and events managers to translate their projects into language that resonates with funders. You will manage the grants process from identification to applications, reporting and acquitting grants, and identify opportunities to instigate and deepen relationships with funders.

What You'll Bring
You have relevant qualifications and professional experience in events, membership support or grant seeking and ideally 3+ years of experience in coordinating grant activities, with a proven track record in crafting compelling funding proposals and securing grants.
You must have a strong grasp of fundraising fundamentals, familiarity with CRM software and excel in professional writing and editing. You should possess sharp research and analytical skills that allow you to identify opportunities for funding and craft concise grant applications. In this role, robust organisational and project management skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills are essential, ensuring the achievement of deadlines and facilitating effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
