About The Role
ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company) is looking for a current team member to join our Townsville branch as an Operator, bending and cutting bar, steel and mesh products for customer orders. You will be part of a small, high-performing team where you will work to achieve KPIs and foster a safety-first culture. This role provides hands-on experience in steel processing, pre-fabrication and distribution, with opportunities for career progression and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate off-coil machines to shape and cut reinforcing bars and mesh
- Input job tags on machines to produce steel products
- MIG welding (second class) of steel cages and gates
- Operate an overhead crane and forklift
- Accurately pick and pack orders
- Load and unload trucks for customers or drivers
- Promote and contribute to a safe workplace
To be successful in this role you will value collaborative working environments and promote a safety-first culture. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume role that requires attention to detail and time management skills to meet KPIs.

- Forklift license and experience (not essential)
- Crane ticket and experience (not essential)
