Our client is a global market leader in manufacturing, producing high quality products in manufacturing facilities across Australia and the USA. Due to continued growth, we are looking to hire an outstanding Procurement Manager, to drive the provision of the business unit and strengthen business relationships across the existing and newly acquired subsidiaries.
Employing over 1800 staff globally they are dedicated to continuing to develop products that will shape and create efficiencies within their dedicated industry.
The Opportunity
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that maximum value is extracted over the contractual term; that negotiated agreements are implemented in full, and that benefits identified at the start of the contractual agreement are realised over the life of the contract.
Responsibilities include:
Develop & implement a category plan for Logistics along with Freight Manager
Develop a category plan for M360 business support and Energy procurement
Implement best practice processes for Tenders and RFQs with existing buyers
Develop and implement individual KPIs to support the overarching Procurement function's strategy, goals, and targets
Contribute to analysing current and future market activities, trends and identifying sourcing opportunities for the business
Enhance overall Vendor Management including contract expiries, vendor insurances are maintained & updated, and vendor contact information is kept up to date
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Business or similar
Expertise in sourcing for, or management of, a complex organisational (manufacturing or industrial) environment
Experience in negotiating and implementing contracts, including thorough knowledge of legal requirements across a diverse organisation
Analytical skills with proven ability to analyse and summarise data
The ability to work in a dynamic team environment, prioritise competing demands and focus on the delivery of outcomes
Advanced written and verbal communication skills along with a high level of computer literacy (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
