Our client is a market‑leading funds management business experiencing significant growth and is seeking a Senior Investment Operations Associate to join its high‑performing Brisbane team. In this role, you will support the accurate and timely execution of post‑trade operational activities across multiple asset classes e.g. Private Credit. Working closely with fund managers, custodians, administrators, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure all operational deliverables are met while maintaining strong control, efficiency, and service quality. This role also acts as a subject matter expert within the team, providing guidance to junior colleagues and assisting in process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Validate and process trade instructions across multiple asset classes, including monitoring and resolving failed trades; Perform daily cash and position reconciliations with custodians and fund administrators, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of breaks; Oversee daily and monthly unit price reconciliations, including investigation of variances and delivery oversight; Track and process corporate actions, income events, and proxy voting requirements; Monitor and manage cash flows, including FX requirements; Maintain accurate investment records within portfolio systems; Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to junior team members; Oversee completion of daily tasks and support payment and task approvals where required; Liaise with fund managers, custodians, and counterparties to ensure timely trade settlement and operational accuracy; Support regulatory and client reporting requirements, including FX forward reporting and reporting to data aggregators such as Morningstar; Identify and contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and strengthened operational controls; AND Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance frameworks, and risk standards. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; At least 3–5 years’ experience in investment operations, custody, stockbroking, or funds management; Exposure to systems such as IRESS, Bloomberg, and intermediate/advanced Excel; Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and operational control; Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities; Collaborative team player who can also operate independently in a fast‑paced environment; AND Proactive, resourceful, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
