At Mills Street Joinery, an exciting division of the well-established Mills Street Fitout company, based in Devonport, we are driven by a passion for crafting high-quality, custom joinery pieces for our commercial clients. To assist us with our ongoing commitment to the delivery for our clients, we are eagerly seeking qualified Cabinet Makers to join our team and become an integral part of our dynamic operations.
With a pipeline of projects well into 2026, we have 2-3 available positions on offer.
Position Overview
As a Cabinet Maker at Mills Street Joinery, you will be responsible for:
* Fabricating and assembling custom cabinetry and shopfitting joinery.
* Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications.
* Selecting and cutting materials to precise measurements.
* Operating a variety of joinery tools and machinery.
* Ensuring the highest level of quality and craftsmanship in every project.
* Collaborating with team members and clients to meet project requirements.
* Maintaining a safe and organized workshop environment.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role. (trade qualifications preferred but not essential)
* Proficiency in working with various joinery tools and machinery.
* Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and finishes.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
