The opportunity:
We're seeking an Operations Manager with a strong background in plant operations who is ready to leverage their expertise in a strategic role. If you're a seasoned professional looking to transition from hands-on experience to a leadership position, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
* Resource Coordination: Collaborate with Site Supervisors to understand project requirements and optimize resource allocation. Ensure efficient utilization of plant equipment, site equipment, personnel, and other resources to meet site needs.
* Communication: Consult with site supervisors to guarantee plant and equipment meet project standards.
* Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to secure timely and cost-effective procurement, ensuring continuity of our established network.
* Value Maximisation: Implement procurement processes that deliver maximum value for money.
* Data Analysis: Analyze and report on equipment suitability, utilization, and maintenance requirements, providing insights for continuous improvement.
* Plant Management System: Effectively implement and utilize our in-house built plant management system to achieve project objectives.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with Site Supervisors to foster effective communication and ensure seamless teamwork.
* Compliance: Utilize assets and resources in accordance with legal, site, and other requirements.
* Engage third-party contractors when necessary to meet supply demands (e.g., labour hire, subcontractors, plant, equipment).
About you:
* Plant Knowledge: Possess strong knowledge of plant equipment and earthworks (operating experience preferred but not essential).
* Computer Literacy: Demonstrate high computer literacy and excellent written and verbal communication skills (you will utilize our in-house built system to manage site resources).
* Skills: Exhibit analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Network: An established industry network is desirable but not required.
* Problem-Solving: Showcase logical intelligence and foresight in resolving challenges and anticipate future issues by projecting and planning ahead.
