 
        
        Overview 
As Group Sales Representative, you will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Admissions Revenue to develop and execute attendance and revenue strategies for Adventure Aquarium. The position carries direct business development and client management responsibilities in group and consignment sales channels. 
What You'll Do 
Develop the annual group sales plan, strategies, and tactics to support the overall business goals. 
Establish active communication and engagement with existing and new group sales accounts in sales channels, including schools, camps, tour operators, consignment accounts (AAA, Dept. of Recreation, hotel partners), special interest groups, scouts, social clubs, universities, fraternal organizations, and education groups. 
Make outbound calls (including cold calls), prospect and research new sales leads, and establish active communication and engagement with potential clients. 
Provide ongoing monitoring of group and consignment business performance and goal attainment; recommend shifts in strategies and tactics as necessary to ensure financial plan attainment. 
Meet and exceed annual group and consignment sales goals 
Maintain a thorough understanding of the sales process, including booking tickets, confirming reservations, collecting payment, and fulfilling orders through the ticketing system 
Monitor competitors to ensure AAQ is positioned well in the market. 
Work with the marketing team to develop content for any/all sales collateral, including but not limited to direct mail pieces, brochures, flyers, and emails. 
Establish and manage systems for sales lead generation to include CRM, direct mail, trade/consumer shows, and traditional sales efforts. 
Manage sales budgets. 
Liaison with the Branson, MO, call center for facilitating group bookings 
Work together with the Operations team to quickly and efficiently resolve any group difficulties or issues on the day of their visit. 
Represent Adventure Aquarium at 2-4 trade/travel shows. 
Represent Adventure Aquarium within various professional groups. 
Other duties as specified. 
What You'll Bring 
4+ years of group sales experience in attractions, museums, sports, music, or a relevant field. 
Group sales experience with goals exceeding 75K visitors annually 
Competitive spirit, motivated by hitting daily/weekly/period/annual goals 
Established relationships with tour operators, tourism-related businesses, schools/camps, and other potential group bookers operating in the Philadelphia area 
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with team members, guests, and corporate team members in a professional manner 
Highly motivated, results-oriented 
Capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously and adhering to deadlines 
Calm under pressure 
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills, maintaining a clear and proactive flow of communication and ownership of tasks 
Ability to build and maintain valuable rapport with internal teams as well as external stakeholders and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness 
Professional, mature, responsible, and enthusiastic attitude 
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) skills required

$45k-$50k
