Maintenance Planner Role at Brunel
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our client, a tier one mining business operating across the WA Pilbara region.
In this role, you will play a key part in creating and managing executable work orders aligned to asset strategies, maintenance plans, and business goals. You'll collaborate with multiple teams, optimise resource planning, monitor costs, and drive the reliability and performance of critical assets across the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and prioritise approved maintenance notifications, providing feedback to originators.
* Estimate labour, equipment downtime, and resource requirements for non-urgent work.
* Plan detailed work orders, coordinating specialised external contractors when necessary.
* Analyse maintenance history, ensuring accurate data updates for damage and failure causes.
* Initiate warranty and repairable/rotable processes for corrective maintenance tasks.
* Review upcoming work against asset criticality, safety, statutory, and project requirements.
* Identify and resolve scope conflicts, adjusting downtime and schedules as required.
* Monitor planned vs actual costs, support budget forecasting, and escalate major variances.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
* Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
* Experience in power station maintenance or a similar industry.
* Knowledge of maintenance management systems such as SAP.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Willingness to work in a remote mine site on a 5:2/4:3 roster.
* Current right to work in Australia and a full manual driving licence are required.
