Position
Maintenance & Facilities Technician
Responsibilities
Assisting with setting priorities based on changing business requirements.
Ensuring regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checks are complete, identified actions undertaken and correctly documented in the maintenance database.
Coordinating contractors such as repair technicians, cleaning and security to coordinate activities under their scope of works.
Working with production engineers on concept, design, support and maintenance of current and new machinery and equipment.
Assisting with preparation of cost estimates, applications for capital works and overseeing project management of capital installations.
Ensuring site facilities requests are tracked and completed, and escalating issues to the department supervisor.
Identifying critical machine spares and developing parts plans to minimise downtime.
Working closely with the purchasing and administration team members to ensure documentation is captured for storage in databases.
Engaging in completing all site audits including internal audits and implementing any identified corrective actions in a timely manner.

Are experienced in managing a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
Understand hazard/risk management principles and relevant legislation.
Be prepared to work hands-on alongside the maintenance team on projects.
Have a trade background, and engineering qualification or relevant comparable experience.
