About the Role
Grove Scaff is a South Australian owned scaffolding company delivering high quality aluminium access solutions across commercial, industrial and Defence sectors. We have built our reputation on customer service, safety, and reliability.
We are now seeking an experienced Project / Operations Manager to lead and co-ordinate our scaffolding operations across multiple sites.
You will oversee projects from planning to delivery, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely and to the highest standard, while also driving operations systems, financial performance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee end-to-end planning, co-ordination, and operational delivery of scaffold projects.
* Coordinate teams, projects, and resources to ensure smooth workflow.
* Manage financial performance, job costing, margins, and variations.
* Administer contracts and ensure compliance with commercial and contractual obligations.
* Ensure full compliance with WHS legislation and company safety standards.
* Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and operational efficiency.
* Consult with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.
* Represent the company at networking events to build the company profile in relevant sectors.
About You / Skills & Experience
We are looking for a mid-career professional with hands-on experience in construction or scaffolding projects. You are practical, solutions-focused, organised, and thrive balancing multiple priorities while keeping teams and clients aligned.
Must haves:
* Degree in Construction Management, Project Management or similar (or equivalent experience)
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
* Strong financial management and contract administration experience
* Experience with P&L responsibility and financial accountability is essential
* Excellent knowledge of WHS compliance and safety leadership
* Strong communication skills, client focus, and attention to detail
* Passion for team culture, leadership, and continual improvement
* High level of IT literacy with expertise in systems and reporting tools
* SA driver's licence, ability to obtain Defence clearance and WWC check.
* Ability to obtain Baseline Defence clearance is mandatory for this position
Nice to have:
Experience in Defence-related projects will be highly regarded.
