The Opportunity - About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join the Civil and Infrastructure team in Townsville. In this role you will deliver project management expertise and facilitate project delivery by driving engagement with key stakeholders in order to achieve the project management group vision and outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Partner with Project and Development Managers in the delivery of quality expertise to support development teams in creating and monitoring project plans against time, cost and quality requirements.
* Provide project management assistance from project inception to completion in partnership with Project and Development Managers.
* Ensure projects are scoped, designed, built and delivered on time, budget and to required quality specification.
* Provide project management tools, resources and advice to support large and complex projects through to completion.
* Facilitate, manage and drive efficiency through project cost plans in partnership with Project or Development Managers, authorities, consultant and contractors to realise cost savings.
* Manage and contribute to relationships with key stakeholder groups as directed by the Project or Development Manager including contractors, consultants, and approval authorities to achieve required business outcomes and in a manner that enhances the image and reputation of Stockland.
* Ensue project priorities are clearly established and frequently communicated with all key stakeholders.
* Lead a culture of HS&E excellence both internally and externally to Stockland.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, ideally engineering (civil, environmental), planning or urban design.
* Project Management experience with demonstrated successful outcomes in the delivery of civil infrastructure and landscape projects.
* Experience managing construction teams and relevant consultants
* Demonstrated commercial/financial acumen
* Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skills
* Proven understanding of project management best practice, tools and techniques
* Proven understanding of legal requirements and obligations in the administration of Contracts
* Experience and understanding of the urban development industry including planning, design and construction
