As a Subject Coordinator for Literature, Adaptation, Media, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the academic experience of diverse students in the English and Theatre Studies program. You'll have the opportunity to develop and deliver engaging content, manage assessments, and foster an inclusive learning environment. This role offers you the chance to enhance your teaching and coordination skills while contributing to a dynamic academic program.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinate and Deliver Teaching: Prepare and conduct lectures, seminars, and tutorials, ensuring high-quality instruction in various modes (online, on-campus, blended).
* Manage Subject Administration: Maintain LMS sites, prepare assessments, manage student queries, and handle academic integrity matters.
* Support Student Learning: Provide timely feedback, address student concerns, and create an inclusive learning environment for a diverse cohort.
* Collaborate with Faculty: Participate in program meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the subject and program.
You may be a great fit if:
You are an experienced educator with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of diverse student needs, and the ability to create inclusive learning environments while efficiently managing administrative responsibilities.
You may also:
* Have experience in teaching delivery and supervising teaching teams.
* Possess excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Have a thorough understanding of university policies and procedures related to teaching and student support.
* Hold a Doctoral or Master qualification in a relevant discipline or have equivalent professional experience.
* Be familiar with the University of Melbourne's systems and procedures.
