An opportunity has arisen at Chandler Macleod, working alongside our client in Scoresby, for a Mechanical Fitter to join the growing Team reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor.
The role will be responsible for the Mechanical Maintenance support of machinery, equipment, site and services to achieve optimum production and customer service. In addition to all aspects of mechanical maintenance, the position is also responsible for ensuring safe work practices are always achieved and that company policies and practices are adhered to.
The Maintenance Fitter - Day Shift role includes but is not limited to:
- Complying with and practice of company safety protocols and knowledge of procedures and safety education is current including LOTO practices and procedures
- Disassembling, assessing, repairing and reassembling machines, equipment and components
- Understanding, supporting, promoting and complying with Production Management Systems.
- Maintaining equipment condition and reliability so that company quality and safety targets can be achieved.
- Experienced in the use of CMMS and other maintenance/reliability tools and practices.
- Provide reasonable site support outside of normal working hours as required.
- Play a pivotal role within a team focused on the development and execution of efficient preventative maintenance practices.
- Ensuring timely action and satisfactory completion of PM work as specified by OEMs.
- Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams.
- Assist with ordering components and liaise with external suppliers and OEMs as necessary with appropriate approval.
- Work as directed by relevant Managerial and Supervisory staff.
