We are a mid-tier size civil engineering contractor, located at Glendenning NSW, working in the Western Sydney Area involved in the construction of roads, stormwater drains, residential and rural subdivisions, stormwater basins, and traffic lights for local Council, private Consultants & developers.
About the Role
An opportunity exists for a motivated, experienced Project Engineer to join our team to deliver a full range of Civil Engineering Projects within budget, program milestones and completion dates to specifications and quality requirements.
Duties Include: -
· Managing multiple projects simultaneously
· Preparing detailed quotations, estimates and tenders
· Contract administration
· Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations, issue purchase orders, and coordinate works and deliveries.
· Liaising with site supervisors and subcontractors to monitor and ensure that works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications and applicable regulations.
· Liaising with clients, consultants, authorities and general public as required in relation to project requirements.
· Preparing and submitting cost variations and monthly progress claims for projects
· Preparing Construction Programs for projects, monitoring ongoing progress, and updating schedule as necessary to reflect project developments
About You
To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Project Engineer and will possess: -
* Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum 10-15 years industry experience in project delivery
* Design and Construction knowledge of civil engineering projects, with a high level of experience in road and drainage projects which include rural roads, stormwater drains, road surfacing, car parks, footpaths/cycleways, drainage basins and subdivisions.
* High level of understanding of the project management process, tendering, WHS requirements contract law and administration including relevant codes and legislation.
* Be proficient in computer applications such as MS Project, Excel, Word and Power Point and preferably but not essential drawing and estimating software packages.
* Demonstrate financial, contract, project management and time management skills.
* Have a well-developed knowledge and understanding of current WHS legislations and regulations.
* Efficient verbal and written communication skills
* A current Class C Australian driver’s license
* Work Cover WHS General Induction for Construction Works in NSW (white card)
