Operations Manager - Functions & EventsCENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park Levy AustraliaWhere world-class events meet unforgettable hospitality.Levy Australia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operation Manager, Functions & Events to join our team at CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park - one of Melbourne's most iconic conference and events destinations.As part of the Levy family, you'll play a central role in the seamless delivery of extraordinary experiences across a range of premium events - from gala dinners and brand activations to corporate conferences and one of the world's biggest sporting moments: the Australian Open.If you're passionate about operational excellence, thrive under pressure, and are excited by the challenge of delivering high-end functions and events on a grand scale, we want to hear from you.From the stadium to the head table, Levy leverages unbridled creativity, custom strategies, impeccable service, and true love for great food to create unforgettable experiences. From designing tasty menus to trying out the latest tech, we have tactics that help to deliver once-ina-lifetime experiences.The PositionLead end-to-end event operations at Centrepiece, ensuring smooth planning, set-up, and execution and food and beverage service across all spacesOversee client liaison, event logistics, and front-of-house service delivery, ensuring guest satisfaction at every stageCollaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure flawless delivery and alignment with Levy's brand standardsManage staffing requirements, rostering, and on-the-day coordination across multiple functionsMaintain operational efficiency, safety, and compliance across all eventsDrive innovation and continuous improvement across all aspects of the event lifecycleReport on event outcomes, customer feedback, and service quality to inform future improvementsAct as a key operational lead during the Australian Open 2025, working alongside major stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-profile environmentThe PersonProven experience in managing operations or large-scale events within a high-volume hospitality or conference/events environmentA true "hospitalitarian" with great food and beverage knowledge and in particular an affinity with what's best about Victorian produceA natural leader with strong communication skills, a client-first mindset, and an ability to motivate large teamsA meticulous eye for detail and problem-solving skills under pressureStrong knowledge of event logistics, customer service excellence, and compliance protocolsProficient in event management systems and rostering softwareComfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidaysExperience working on major events like sporting tournaments or international conferences (desirable)The BenefitsJoin a passionate team redefining hospitality in a world-class venueAccess to leadership development, mentoring, and training programsGenuine career pathways within Levy and Compass Group AustraliaWork in a vibrant, supportive, and fast-paced environment where no two days are the sameBe at the heart of Australia's premier summer event - the Australian OpenAt Levy, we believe that unforgettable experiences start with extraordinary people.
