We are seeking a Fleet Mechanic/Drill Fitter to work on our Underground Rigs and associated equipment and vehicles. The successful candidate will be driven, with a strong commitment to Health & Safety and a strong team focus. The role is based in Western Australia at one of our client sites, with a Fly-in / Fly-out roster of 8:6 or 14:7 and 12-hour days.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance and repairs to Boart Longyear's Underground 'LM' and MDR range of Drill Rigs / Newlands Erebus Mobile Rigs, and related equipment.
* Maintenance and repairs of heavy and light vehicles.
* Complete preventative maintenance tasks and keep records.
* Maintain adequate stock levels of spare parts.
* Time and maintenance record-keeping.
* Create work orders as required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Solid experience carrying out drill and/or vehicle maintenance.
* Knowledge and understanding of electronic control systems.
* Qualifications in related field (e.g., Diesel or Mechanical Fitter).
* Experience maintaining and repairing light and heavy vehicles.
* Basic understanding of electrical circuitry / PLC controls.
* Fire-suppression qualification is advantageous, not essential.
* SIBS training is advantageous, not essential.
* Basic computing skills.
* Current and valid Driver's License.
* National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old) or willingness to obtain one.
* Demonstrated personal commitment to safety.
