Your new role
As Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day transport and logistics functions for the local fleet and associated sites. You will coordinate vehicle scheduling, oversee container movements, and maintain accurate records to support operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:
* Scheduling side-loaders and ensuring timely deliveries and collections
* Managing customer bookings for import/export collections and drop-offs
* Overseeing operations across multiple yards and coordinating weekend loading
* Acting as the main liaison between sites and the transport office
* Performing daily reefer checks and container yard stock takes
* Reviewing charges and preparing operational reports
* Maintaining compliance documentation and supporting administrative functions
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in fleet control or transport coordination
* Strong knowledge of container logistics and scheduling systems (Freight Tracker experience highly regarded)
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
* High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
