As a Senior Structural Design Engineer with Tate, you will provide professional advice regarding the design and compliance for all Tate Products for all projects within the APAC region. You will use your technical expertise to lead structural design and inspect projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance.
To excel in this position, you must possess hands-on experience with various construction methods and materials, as well as advanced proficiency in Structural Analysis programs, including Space Gass & Idea Statica. Strong time management, analytical skills, report writing, and communication is also crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
 * Provide engineering designs of Tate products, including seismic design, ensuring submitted designs are compliant, optimised for cost, and completed within the expected timeframe.
 * Contribute to product development initiatives ensuring product offerings are cost effective and meet all regulatory requirements in the regions they are offered.
 * Take part in process improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement of engineering design workflows.
 * Attend project meetings and provide technical guidance and support to the sales and project teams
 * Manage multiple priorities and ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
 * Research, document, and maintain the regulatory requirements for each of the countries within the APAC region
 * Develop and maintain country specific design guidelines for Tate Products ensuring designs meet local regulatory requirements.

Internal and external stakeholders across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
Education, Work Experience & Skills required, Personal Qualities (Selection Criteria)
Education
 * Degree in Structural Engineering
 * Member of Institute of Structural Engineering advantageous
Work Experience and Skills
 * Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering consultancy or construction products sector
 * Specific experience in seismic design of aluminium and light weight steel structures advantageous
 * Understanding of Australian and International design standards, overseas experience using EU and US standards ideal
 * Proficiency in engineering analysis programs such as Space Gass & Idea Statica
