Full Stack Developer – Government Client (ReactJS, TypeScript, AWS) Contract | Competitive Daily Rate | Work on high‐impact public projects
We're partnering with a major government agency to bring on an experienced Full Stack Developer to support and enhance existing applications. You'll work across the full SDLC, delivering high‐quality features and ensuring seamless performance for critical services. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in Agile environments, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to contribute to meaningful digital transformation.
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively within an Agile team to deliver high‐quality features across frontend and backend
* Translate functional & technical requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
* Develop responsive, accessible UIs using ReactJS, TypeScript, and modern component libraries
* Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs via AWS API Gateway
* Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
* Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines (AWS CDK, GitHub Actions)
* Support automation, testing practices, and continuous improvement
* Perform other development tasks as required
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with ReactJS & TypeScript
* Proficiency with modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, shadcn/ui, or similar)
* Python experience, particularly for AWS CDK and Lambda functions
* Understanding of key AWS services: Cognito, S3, VPC, CloudFormation
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines (AWS CDK, GitHub Actions)
* Knowledge of AWS API Gateway and REST API development
* Solid Git version control experience
Desired Skills
* AWS AppSync / GraphQL experience
* Testing experience (unit, integration, E2E) for React/TypeScript
* DevOps awareness across logging, monitoring, and observability
