Archon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior ERP Business Analyst that will provide senior level business analysis capability for our government departments ERP modernisation and associated transformation initiatives.
This role bridges business strategy, operational needs and ERP solution delivery. It is responsible for leading complex requirements analysis, business process design and solution definition to ensure the ERP platform delivers meaningful, compliant and sustainable business outcomes.
The role works closely with business owners, architects, delivery teams and system integrators to ensure requirements are well‑defined, prioritised, traceable and aligned to target‑state architecture and enterprise standards.
Key duties and responsibilities:
The ERP Senior Business Analyst is responsible for:
Business Analysis & Requirements
* Leading end‑to‑end business analysis activities across ERP modules and processes
* Eliciting, analysing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
* Ensuring requirements align to business strategy and ERP standard capability
* Managing requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle
Business Process & Design
* Analysing current‑state processes and designing efficient future‑state processes
* Reducing customisation through process alignment to ERP best practice
* Supporting configuration, test scenarios and user acceptance activities
Stakeholder Engagement
* Engaging senior business stakeholders to agree priorities and outcomes
* Translating complex business needs into clear, consumable artefacts
* Supporting change, training and transition activities
Delivery Support & Assurance
* Supporting solution design reviews and delivery governance forums
* Managing scope, impacts and trade‑offs across ERP workstreams
* Providing advice on risks, dependencies and implementation impacts
Essential
* Significant experience as a senior business analyst on large ERP programs
* Proven experience with ERP platforms (SAP, Workday, TechOne, Oracle, etc.)
* Strong business process modelling and requirements management capability
* Experience working in large, complex or government organisations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical skills
Highly Desirable:
* Tertiary qualifications in business, ICT or related disciplines
* BABOK or equivalent business analysis certification
* Experience across finance, HR, payroll or grants ERP domains
