Key Responsibilities
Our Zeekr AU Head Office is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This permanent, full-time position is perfect for a qualified accountant looking to make an impact in the automotive industry while supporting Zeekr's ambitious growth plans in Australia. Ensuring robust financial management and compliance.
Role Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and Zeekr's reporting requirements.
* Ensure timely completion of general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries while maintaining chart of accounts integrity.
* Manage all statutory compliance obligations including GST, BAS, FBT, PAYG withholding, payroll tax, and company tax lodgments.
* Assist with year-end audit preparation and act as primary liaison with external auditors.
* Analyze variances against budget and rolling forecasts, providing clear commentary and actionable insights to dealership and regional management.
* Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles.
* Monitor gross margins, job costs, and cash flow performance across vehicle sales, service, and parts operations.
* Ensure strict adherence to internal financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Drive continuous process improvement by identifying non-value-add activities and assisting with change management initiatives.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, service, and operations teams to resolve financial queries and support business decisions.
* Support month-end close processes and ad-hoc financial projects as required.
Qualifications & requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Professional certification (CA/CPA) or actively working towards completion.
* 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within automotive retail, dealership, or manufacturing environments.
* Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax regulations, and BAS reporting requirements.
* Australian permanent residency or valid working rights.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing and reconciliation.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern ERP systems (experience with automotive DMS or BI tools advantageous).
* Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful business insights.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
* Superior time management and prioritization skills, thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
