Newly qualified Enrolled Nurses are invited to join BRHS's 12‑month Transition to Practice Program, offering supported clinical rotations, personalised learning, and the opportunity to build a confident nursing career within a welcoming regional health service.
Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is inviting applications from newly qualified Enrolled Nurses to join our 12‑month Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice Program. This program is designed to support your transition from student to a competent, confident and professional Enrolled Nurse, while working in a supportive and inclusive clinical environment.
The Contracts: Fixed Term, Part Time EFT (by negotiation)
The Program:
Our Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice Program will support you in developing the skills required to be a competent, confident and accountable professional Enrolled Nurse. The Program itself operates over 12 months and consists of two 6-month rotations. Clinical rotations across a range of settings which may include:
* Medical/Surgical
* Sub-acute Rehabilitation
* Medical/Palliative Care/Paediatrics/Midwifery
* Aged Care
This program provides a great opportunity to further strengthen your nursing knowledge and practice with support from our experienced Educators, Nurse Unit Managers and preceptors.
There is an opportunity to transition into ongoing roles at BRHS on completion, subject to performance and available EFT.

What You Need:
* Recent completion (or near completion) of a Diploma of Nursing (within the last 6 months preferred)
* Current or pending AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
* Demonstrated ability to deliver safe, person‑centred care within scope of practice
* Sound communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
* Willingness to actively participate in study days, assessments and rotations
