Employment Opportunity: Aged and Home Care Support Worker
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Aged and Home Care Support Worker. This rewarding role involves providing support and assistance to clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
A typical day may include assisting with personal care, domestic duties, shopping, appointments, respite care, meal preparation, and social support.
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and public holidays. Shifts will be shorter in duration, with paid travel time between customers in a localised area, where possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care and domestic duties
* Provide support for clients with shopping, appointments, and other tasks
* Offer respite care to clients and their families
* Prepare meals and snacks for clients
* Engage clients in social activities and provide emotional support
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A minimum certificate III in a health-related industry, such as Individual Support, Community Services, or Nursing
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Full Comprehensive Car Insurance
* A valid driver's licence
