Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
About the Role:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling daily deliveries of bulk fuels from terminals to customers and company delivery sites utilizing the available fleet. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and national heavy vehicles regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Scheduling day-to-day deliveries and ensuring the efficient operation of Lowes fleet by minimizing operating costs through effective load maximization, route planning, and driver scheduling.
2. Entering scheduled deliveries and delivery details promptly into the database in accordance with NHVR requirements.
3. Liaising and communicating with company drivers, customers, and transport sub-contractors on a daily basis.
4. Supporting depot operations, including trip processing and dispatch activities.
5. Remote monitoring of fuel tank levels across sites throughout service areas.
6. Meeting and exceeding customer service level requirements.
7. Scheduling trucks servicing and maintenance.
8. Managing driver rosters and timesheets.
Requirements:
* Previous scheduling experience considered an advantage but not essential as full on-the-job training will be provided.
* Good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and national heavy vehicles regulatory requirements.
* Critical thinking with a focus on problem-solving and solution-based outcomes.
* Capable of working unsupervised and managing time effectively.
* Strong transport and logistics background.
* Operational experience is an advantage.
