Volunteer Retail Assistant – The Salvation Army (Salvos Stores)

What You'll Be Doing:
* Greet customers with a warm, friendly, and approachable attitude.
* Assist with inquiries – provide clear information, answer questions, and guide customers.
* Support Donor Care Program – assist in receiving donated goods, handling and communicating with donors.
* Process donated goods – assess condition, functionality, and suitability; ensure quality and usability; follow pricing standards.
* Stock and display – place priced items on the sales floor, maintain neat and organized presentation; assist with visual merchandising.
* Maintain cleanliness – regularly clean items, sales floor, and staff areas.
* Waste management – follow guidelines and handle waste appropriately.
* Ensure safety – maintain a safe environment for customers, visitors, and staff.
* Health and safety – be mindful of your own health and care for others around you.
Important Note – Volunteers must be 15 years of age and older. This is a volunteer, unpaid position.
