About the role
Adult Drug Court is a 12-month program to assist eligible clients released from custody to access drug treatment. The clinical psychologist will provide clinical and operational leadership for the Adult drug Court team as well as hold a clinical caseload. The clinical psychologist will conduct assessments and provide counselling and case management and advocate for positive outcomes for their clients. The role will include making referrals, to appropriate health, housing, Centrelink and rehabilitation services as well as liaising with stakeholders, including other government and NGO services.

Current registration with AHPRA and must hold a post graduate degree in clinical psychology (Masters, and / or Doctorate or PhD) that provides eligibility for full membership of the APS and ACPA.
Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skill and clinical experience in the provision of clinical psychology interventions, demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy. About working for SLHD
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).
