The Role
We are looking for a commercially minded Wine Buyer to join the VIC-based team. In this role, you'll manage a broad portfolio of wines from across the globe, drive data-led buying decisions, and identify new opportunities in the wine market. You'll engage directly with wineries, attend regional visits, and provide commercial insights to help shape the business strategy. You'll work alongside three other buyers and a supportive team including import/export and mix pack managers, all focused on e-commerce and direct-to-consumer operations.
Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have good wine knowledge with experience in cellar door management, wine sales, or similar roles, combined with commercial acumen and the ability to make data-driven decisions. You will be self-motivated and autonomous, able to work independently, prospect for opportunities, build relationships with wineries, and present commercially to internal and external stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines are essential, along with a willingness to travel interstate periodically.
