A well-established, family-owned business based South of the River is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead its people and culture function.
This is a hands-on, operational role suited to a pragmatic HR professional who enjoys working closely with the business, building trusted relationships, and delivering practical, commercially focused HR solutions. The role has responsibility for end-to-end HR operations and leads one direct report.
Reporting directly to the COO, the HR Manager will be responsible for:
End-to-end delivery of generalist HR support across the employee lifecycleManaging employee and industrial relations matters with a solutions-focused approachLeading recruitment, onboarding, performance management and remuneration processesProviding coaching and advice to leaders and employees on HR best practiceEnsuring compliance with workplace legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and policiesDeveloping, implementing and maintaining HR policies and proceduresSupporting organisational initiatives and continuous improvement projectsManaging and mentoring one HR team memberTo be successful in the role, you will have proven experience as a generalist HR practitioner or manager within an operational environment. You will be comfortable working in a small to medium-sized, family-owned business and be able to demonstrate a practical and approachable style of management. A tertiary qualification in human resources would be preferable. This opportunity will suit an HR professional who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day operations of a business and making a tangible impact.
