**About the Position**
Girton Grammar School are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic communications professional to fill a fixed-term leave position. The Head of Strategic Communications is a key member of the school's leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures consistent, clear, and professional messaging that aligns with the school's vision, values, and strategic objectives.
The Head of Strategic Communications oversees the creation and distribution of content across various platforms, and supports the leadership team in promoting the school's achievements and initiatives.

**Key Selection Criteria**
Tertiary qualifications in communications or business and extensive relevant work experience, preferably in a school or educational setting.
- A positive approach to change and development.
- Excellent communication skills to help refine the Principal's message and ensure that it is understood by all stakeholders.
- A pro-active mindset, with a flexible enthusiastic and energetic attitude with an ability to work on your own and use initiative.
- Ability to anticipate problems and sensitive approach to issues that require diplomacy.
- Ability to work autonomously and determine where to devote time and expertise to support position outcomes outlined above.
- Ability to anticipate and avert problems.
- Ability to grasp and add value to the Principal's philosophical approach and school vision.
- Well-developed project-management skills - being organised and disciplined, showing attention to detail, and thorough with follow-up on all tasks.
- Strong skills in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT).
