The Role
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Technician to support ongoing maintenance and improvement works across our Metallurgy operations. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills who enjoys variety and working safely in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with general site maintenance and repairs across multiple Metallurgy departments.
* Support maintenance and calibration of laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
* Perform basic handyman duties (painting, minor fabrication, general upkeep etc).
* Help ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
* Participate in preventative maintenance schedules and improvement projects.
* Follow site safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Trade assistant or handyman background in industrial or workshop environments.
* High Risk Work Licence (Forklift) preferred.
* Working at Heights certification is advantageous (training provided for the right candidate).
* Basic understanding of safety systems, including JSEAs, SWMS, and Take 5s.
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Reliable, proactive attitude with attention to detail and commitment to safety.
