The Role
Glencore Copper Refinery is currently advertising for one residential vacancy that exist within the Refinery Maintenance team. This position will work a Mon - Fri 8hr Day.
These exciting opportunities will see you gain exposure to the many aspects of fabrication work involved in an industrial copper refining plant. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide maintenance activities in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner to maintain production targets and uphold all statutory requirements. Working with skilled and enthusiastic teams, this position will allow you to develop and apply your technical skills and knowledge of the Boilermaking Trade.
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
Routine maintenance inspections, shutdown and fixed plant workYou will be required to work on a range of refinery equipment including structural steel, storage bins, chutes, guarding and pipe workYou will also need to interpret scale drawings or specifications to determine job requirements and materialsScoping jobs, ordering parts and developing work packsCompletion of projects to deliver continuous and safety improvements for the maintenance teams
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
Australian recognised trade qualification – Boilermaker (fabrication)2 years’ experience working in a mining/heavy industrial environmentYou will be able to work to meet deadlinesHigh level of work quality, exceptional communication skillsAlways strive to be part a high performing teamAbility to interpret engineering drawings and develop simple mark upsHold a current manual Australian driver’s licenseForklift ticket, basic rigger/doggers and EWP, pressure welding tickets would be an advantage
