Role Overview:
We are seeking an innovative and passionate
High School English Teacher
to join our dynamic team in ****, Term 1.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Design and implement engaging and effective English curriculum for Stage 4-6 students.
Student Engagement:
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
Assessment and Feedback:
Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues to create a cohesive and effective learning community. Participate actively in faculty discussions and contribute to extracurricular programs.
Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialisation in English.
Experience in teaching Stage 4-6 English.
Strong passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs and single-sex classes.
Proficiency in using technology to enhance the learning experience, including familiarity with the Google Suite.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Familiarity with the NSW Curriculum and Assessment framework.
Valid Working with Children Check clearance.
